O say can you see

You can scroll down here to the Daily Update on Ukraine.

It is all wonderfully written, but so hard on the heart to read. I confess that I often scroll past it with a prayer, telling myself I’ll read it later.

Later, though, I’m sometimes still reeling from seeing my own country’s flag turned on its head — literally, now. “Distress signal”? No. This is the *Patriots*’ waste of more time on delusional, divisive and too often deadly-for-others ME-ism. Wonder where they got THAT from?

(Many an American died [or was paralyzed for life] with his or her eyes on our flag, and it may’ve looked upside-down to them, so, by God, anyone who safely appropriates that flag view unto themselves needs to cash me out-sigh, how bout dat?)

This Ukraine news update site needs more translators. And everything else. I am passing along what I can; may God watch over them even more, and curtail Russia’s madness soon.

  1. I don’t really pay much attention to the news nowadays. The only thing I can do about it is pray, and I should be doing that anyway.

    1. I hear you. I usually put asterisks around the word *news* because greed and fear are as old as the first light-bearer who fell like lightning. However, I/we have generations reading this madness and believing lies.

  2. My husband served, friends served, and I lost two uncles in WWII. I like the flag displayed in the appropriate manner with all due respect. 🇺🇸 As for ‘news,’ I wish we could watch news rather than entertainment and fear based upon political leanings. Strange times we are trying to maneuver.

It is horrible, and so hard on the heart… what humans can do to each other is astounding, and not in a good way.
