Kalmar Nyckel (big one)
Spirit of Bermuda (sleek one)
Lynx (sassy one)

I laughed, I cried, I shouted, jumped on rocks, embarrassed a whole generation (maybe two), and couldn’t see a thing in my phone camera’s viewer in the sun — except (story of my life) Alf in a mask, and a sea rose. I am sorry for some of that! 😉

Well, I for one am glad Alf was not going to miss out on these tall ships. How beautiful are they?!

    1. So exciting! There was *cannon* fire and answer, too… also, an elder woman who asked about 14 times where to click photos on her new phone. 🙂 She said, “So, it advances all by itself?” Gawd, I, TOO, remember winding and winding for the next shot, lol!! Amazing days.

The ships are amazing! Where was this? The Alf photo gave me a much needed chuckle.

    1. The Piscataqua River (between Maine and N.H.). You should view some tall ships youtubes — omigoodness! Daughter said, “Idk, I think that guy has Alf or something on the back of his bike..” when I saw Alf AND the mask, I snapped the photo. I’d say, “Only in America!” but I doubt that’s true!

I will look the ships up on YouTube. Thanks! Ya gotta just love Alf. I have a memorable ALF story from my veterinary days. It involved a male dog who for some odd reason was trying to mate a very large Alf doll. They became “entangled” (if you know what I mean) and there was an emergency vet clinic visit involved. Oh my…. poor doggie. The veterinarian ( who was a friend of mine) could barely keep a straight face as he told the story.
